FDM by UAP Ltd – Terms & Conditions - Fire Door Maintenance

1. Definitions & Interpretation

“Company” refers to FDM by UAP Ltd (Fire Door Maintenance Training & Development), company number 04362267, trading at

Orbital 60, Dumers Lane, Bury, BL9 9UE.

“Client” means any person or business booking services or training from the Company.

“Services” include all face-to-face and online training courses, CPD modules, credit account facilities, and related documentation.

2. Booking & Payment Terms

Training bookings require payment as specified:

– Standard courses are invoiced with payment due within 30 days of receipt of invoice, or prior to the start date of training if the start date is within 30 days.

Additional fees may apply for accreditation certificates or materials.

A cancellation or rescheduling fee may apply if changes are requested within 10 working days of the course date. 

3. Credit Accounts (where applicable)

Clients may apply for a trade credit account via the designated form.

Approval is subject to credit checks and is governed by these Terms and Conditions.

Unpaid invoices after 30 days may accrue interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate and may result in suspension of services.

4. Course Delivery

In-person courses take place at the Bury training centre, operating between 09:00-17:00 (Mon-Fri).

Clients are expected to arrive on time and comply with all site rules.

Online courses are accessible via emailed login credentials; access usually granted within 24 hours of booking.

5. Accreditation & Certification

Upon successful completion, learners will receive certification from GQA or FireQual, and where applicable, a GQA certificate/card.

Clients must meet all assessment requirements to qualify. Certificates remain the property of FDM by UAP Ltd until all fees are paid in full.

6. Intellectual Property

All course content, materials, reports, and documentation are the Company’s intellectual property.

Reproduction or distribution beyond the license support is prohibited without written consent. 

7. Liability & Insurance

The Company holds public liability insurance covering its training facilities and operations.

Liability for direct losses is limited to the course fee paid. FDM by UAP Ltd accepts no liability for any indirect or consequential loss.

Clients must maintain adequate insurance for all on-site activities.

8. Cancellation & Substitution

Clients can move booking dates up to 10 working days before the course start date, or transfer funds to a different accredited course / date.

After this deadline, bookings cannot be amended, but substitutions of delegates are accepted.

FDM by UAP Ltd reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances.

9. Data Protection & Confidentiality

The Company collects personal data for booking, certification, and compliance purposes.

Client data is processed in compliance with GDPR and relevant UK data protection laws.

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during training.

10. Website Use, Cookies & Communications

Use of the website is subject to their privacy and cookie policies.

The Company uses contact details to communicate booking updates, invoices, course materials, and occasional marketing/newsletters.

11. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

Complaints should be made in writing within 14 days of the event. All complaints are to be submitted in writing to the Training Centre Manager. 

FDM by UAP Ltd will attempt to resolve issues amicably.

If unresolved, disputes will be handled in line with the Compliments & Complaints procedure, in line with the requirements of our Awarding Organisations. 

12. Amendments to Terms

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions.

Changes will be posted on the website and notified to Clients.

Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
